Our Lab
A living 8-week structure that builds real skill through consistent practice — so confidence grows from the inside out.
A Living Cycle
A repeatable 8-week training cycle that starts with readiness, builds an actor’s toolkit, and culminates in a low-pressure Open Studio sharing — so learning lands in the body, not just the mind.
Sonic-Led Embodiment
We use soundscape and rhythm as training partners — supporting breath regulation, attention, timing, and ensemble awareness. Sound is a teaching tool, not a performance gimmick: always in service of the drama task.
Ensemble Making
You don’t train alone. The cycle culminates in shared creation: an ensemble score and short scenes/duos, shaped with care and joy.
In presence we explore our bodies and storytelling without traditional script where the coming together of the ensemble takes centre stage through gestures, images and shape. At the end of every 8 week cycle- there will be an open group performance showcase.

Presence
Gain a full in depth experience of how to use your breath for performance. These breath techniques are the basis of all the work we do when we are on stage or giving an awesome presentation. Never under estimate the power of breath and the knowledge you gain from learning how to use your breath efficiently.

Body and Breath Techniques
Understanding the body is anatomical knowledge as well as embracing of truth in the authenticity of how we move. This depicts how we embody a character or seamlessly step into the role of a powerful moderator on a panel discussion. We use contemporary theatre techniques blended with ancient martial arts techniques.

Understanding your Body
explores how the body communicates before words. Through everyday and stylised gestures, we develop expression, presence, and theatrical clarity. We then shape physical images that tell stories without text—personal, social, or political—so that meaning lands through the body itself.

Power of the ‘Gesture & Image’
Through the body, you will gain contemporary theatre techniques such as composition work through Anne Bogart’s Viewpoints and grounding training such as Tadashi Suzuki’s Actor’s Training all blended and curated by our team to give you a hyper engaged ensemble experience which shapes and nurtures you as a team player.

Ensemble Training
Live sound is key in our lab style training, where we believe in ‘poor theatre’ where the actor learns how to produce his or her own sound from the body or accessible and simple material or instruments in the room. We have a live musician in every session and participants are encouraged to explore sound and voice as part of their deepening understanding of presence of the body.

Learning under Sharda was a very freeing experience. She is a patient, encouraging and grounded person. Her classes offer a safe space. Chances for her students to grow and explore themselves, to truly express themselves and push their limits.

Training with Sharda has been a completely spiritual experience for me that forever changed how I view both physical theatre and myself.
